He's Home

Welcome Home Ceremonies are very emotional, especially this one. First, the soldiers (300 of them) all march in.  This is the moment when it becomes "real" that your soldier is HOME, that he made it a year alive (literally), and he is now all yours! You are scanning every soldier trying to find yours.  You can imagine how difficult it is to find your guy, especially with the fog they used.  We were so so lucky that JH was right at the end (4th row), so we were able to run right to him. I saw Hunter scanning the audience as looking for us without moving his head, as he was at attention. When it got a little quieter, I yelled his name and we made eye contact.  It was perfect!  Here is a video of us reuniting!

A photographer took pictures for us that I will post when I get them.  Here is one that she sent us last night.  We are so thankful that Hunter is home, and appreciate all of our family and friends (yall's) support this long eventful year!

Here are a couple of us patiently waiting...
