It's almost time for the big day...in Sawyer's mind, anyway. I have heard that b-day talk is intense for months before, but I had no idea! He knew that "September" was the month of his birthday, so would ask what month it was. Now, if we can just make it to Sunday, his party day. He got to open a couple of early presents this week. He has been telling me what color balloon each of his guests will get to take home them every day this week. And, don't even get me started on his cake requests.
I have to brag about Sawyer and how much he has been learning in preschool. Example: GiGi and I are in the car and I said something about it being better in the Fall (probably the weather)! Sawyer, in the back seat, says " What's the fall Mommy?" I'm thinking how do I explain a season to him...So, I say it is the months of September, October and November. He replies, "No it's not Mommy. It is when the leaves fall from the tree!" :) I told his teacher and she was so excited that he has been listening to her!
His teacher has reported that he is very engaged and enjoys learning. It's so funny b/c at home he teaches us lessons. He will give JH a toy and look at me and say, "Mommy, you wait it's not your turn yet." Or, he will say, "let's sit down and learn about this together!" He is proud of his school work (art) and other things he makes....See his "castle" below.
Despite his eagerness to learn and even listen, sometimes it is still necessary to tape his mouth shut! :) BTW he is cracking up in the pic and he was the one who put the name tag on his mouth!
Lastly, I leave you with prego selfie (30 1/2 weeks) with Baby Boy number 2, currently referred to as "Little Bit," named by Sawyer. Obviously, that makes Sawyer "Big Bit."
