Sawyer Update

I thought I'd give a quick recap of Sawyer this spring.  He played soccer for the first time, and got the award for "Most Improved Player."  This was definitely the most accurate description of him. The first game, he had no clue what he was doing and then turned into one of the most aggressive quickest players on the team. We are so proud of him!

Molly, his best -girl was on his team, which was so fun!
The day he got a medal for all of his hustling!

Tyler was Sawyer's biggest fan, often running on the field yelling "Bubba!"  Thankfully there were lots of little brothers to hang with!

Dad made it to two games, and of course was there the one game Sawyer SCORED!
 Mr. Cool
The league champions after double over time!
Sawyer has matured A LOT this spring. Everyone said I would see a change at age 4, but it really hit home at 4 1/2. These twinkies!
He has become the best artist and is very matter of fact. he needs to see the picture to mimic it and wants colors to match perfectly.
He loved all of his classmates, especially his bestie Reece.
He wants to be outside ALL the time.

We still get his weekly allergy shot, and the boy does not even flinch.
Snuggling in bed (not sleeping) is one of his favorites
He enjoyed a visit to the hill country to see Mimi and Papa Jim.

 Look at that cowboy

Sawyer is the BEST big brother and friend.
  Such a goob
 Legos are still number one.

Sawyer also graduated from pre-K at Primrose. He will be starting Private Kindergarten in the fall and will graduate from that, and I am sure have a graduation from Public Kindergarten too. We are so hoping his stage fright diminishes by then. For such a SOCIAL child, he has the worst stage fright. I assure you he did not get that from either of his parents!

On stage, the announcer read what each child wants to be when they grow up.
Sawyer: I want to be a doctor because they get to work with cool tools, like telescopes (meaning stethoscopes).
 Besties: Molly, Reecey, and Sawyer
LOVED his teachers this year, Ms. Sands and Ms. Williams
And, introducing Sawyer's first crush, Emma. She is older (already 5) and a bit taller, but oh so precious. Don't worry, she is just as smitten with Sawyer. She went home and told her parents she had a boyfriend named Sawyer. She will be a grade ahead of him and is not in his class this summer, but we exchanged digits.
First day and last day pics. You can tell he has really gained some height, but still has his sweet smile and squinty eyes.
