32 - 16 - 4

The only reason this birthday excited me more than most, is what my age means in relation to my boys' age. I have always been a number girl. even numbers, with my fave being 8.  So, this year on my birthday, I am turning 32. This is 4 times my favorite number and 4 happens to be the age of Sawyer and then 2 times my favorite number is 16, which is Tyler's age in months. And, to top it all off, they are all divisible in each other. I love this combo and in my geeky mine, it is good luck! I know my dad and brother in law, Mike, can totally relate.

Sawyer (and JH) were precious on my birthday. JH and Sawyer went to the store to pick out a cake. Hunter had a nice small one and Sawyer insisted on the giant carrot cake, a bag of cheese puffs (b/c we were having a party and every party at school they have cheese puffs), a Happy Birthday Grandpa card, and a ring pop!

Tyler ate more cake than any of us...shocker!
All week, Sawyer picked me the most beautiful flowers for my birthday!
He also showered me with kisses!
Hunter and I snuck out for a much needed dinner date at a little French restaurant. It was perfect!
This picture isn't great, but these friends are so great. Loved meeting them for lunch and loved the kitchen gear they hooked me up with!

Since you don't really need an update on me at 32, I will take the chance to update about the boys.
Sawyer turned 4 1/2 on March 16th, so it's a good time to tell you about his interests.

He is hilarious. He cracks jokes daily and thinks he's so funny. This is where he really reminds me of Hunter b/c he laughs at his own jokes and makes sure you heard it so you can fully appreciate his humor.
- He wears 5t clothes and weighs over 40 lb, probably 43 or so.
- He is having the hardest time falling asleep at night, but is great once out. He is also phasing out his nap, which is good and bad.
- He has more energy than any being I know. Seriously.
- He likes legos, ninja turtles, super heroes - mainly Spider Man, riding his bike, kicking the soccer ball around, and coloring w/ markers

- He really likes play dates or any activity where someone his age will engage him.
- He is doing well in school, has started back in swimming lessons, and starts soccer next week.

- We see him growing so much in so many ways at this age.
- He is still very emotionally mature, namely with empathy and just the things that he picks up on that sometimes I wish he wouldn't... We have had to talk about death, change, growth, loss, etc.
Tyler at 16 months is a hot mess. I told Hunter I fully think he is more active that Sawyer was at this age. JH said no way, any one is more active than Sawyer...but, really he is. It's a different kind of active. It is more focused active. But, he is not engaged/distracted by the tv, nor does he snuggle, or sit really for anything aside from eating.

- He is really so much fun!
- He still lights up the room. He laughs just at a smile his way.
- He is wearing mostly 2t clothes.
- He is very coordinated and his eye hand coordination is pretty impressive as well.
- He likes to try to mimic Sawyer and prefers Sawyer's toys over his own.

 - He wants to be acknowledged and hugged, but then he's off.
- Note his first black eye as he was diving in the toy bin for a ball. He is tough, very tough!

- thankfully he has just started to get into books. I was worried b/c he wouldn't even sit still for that. Now he will sit for a 30 second read. :)
- He is still the easiest/best sleeper!

So, at 32, this is my view and I couldn't be happier about it!
Love these two (and of course their Daddy) with my whole heart and some more!!
