The Leevers had an eventful year in 2012. I try to stay very positive on the blog, because it is my happy place. It is where I go when I am at work and miss my family, or when I just want to smile. A lot has changed this year, and with the transition there have been a few bumps. Overall, it has been a great year and we have loved watching our baby grow into a vivacious little boy!
In the Spring of 2012, Hunter got out of command, nearing his exit of the army.
We began to say good bye to the mountains and friends in Colorado!
We moved to Sugar Land, Texas. It was quite different moving back to the big city with Sawyer, so we settled in the burbs and LOVE it! Hunter started a new job and Sawyer a new school. Starting daycare/school was a BIG adjustment for us all! I would chose not to re-live that one! :) Hunter is very happy at CPI and doing great! I loved getting to back to my old firm! They are very supportive of me and provide flexibility.
It was defintiely hard to adjust to the heat and humidity. Sawyer got to experience the ocean and couldn't get enough of the water.
We got to re-unite with dear friends!
And, Sawyer got to see his cousins MUCH more often than when we were in Colorado.
We also got to see Houston Family, which is priceless! Thankfully, Granddaddy, GiGi and Carrie still come to visit often.
We met new friends!
We were introduced to the Terrible Twos....Aaah such a fun phase! I would like to note that the terrible twos are connected with the constant sickness that Sawyer has endured. Since, begining daycare and moving to Houston, he has been on so many antibiotics and has had an ear or upper respiratory infection every 2-3 weeks. Thus, when sick the terrible twos tend to peak!
Sawyer learned to climb...
and drive...
and scoot!
We celebrated Sawyer's 2nd birthday. The few months before Sawyer's bday, the boy began to talk and talk and he hasn't stopped since. He knows concepts and has an imagination. He tells stories, and plays tricks. He has fake conversations with his friends on the phone and knows the last names of his school-mates. It has been so fun to watch him learn!
Like every good Texas boy, he got his first pair of boots!
In October he had ear surgery and he dressed up like a duck!
In November, we helped get ready for Carrie and Pete's wedding!
Sawyer became obsessed with anything with wheels.
We enjoyed getting to see Johnny...
Mimi, Papa Jim, and Mamaw...
and Cousin Quinn
Christmas was amazing at the Stansberry's and I will forever treasure watching Sawyer with Cole and Tate at that special time!
We celebrated NYE with Family and Friends and now look forward to a big wedding!
Here is to all the things we have to look forward to in 2013 and all the blessings we had in 2012!
Happy New Year!
