Success!

Sawyer's birthday party was a success! Even though he did not feel 100%, he had such a fun time. This is a lengthy post, but I had to share. Sawyer loved the balloons and their strings.

But, he did not love his crown. 

His theme was green, blue, and baby blue (no theme).  The pretty birthday plate was made by sweet Mary O'Black. 

I made a banner with blown up pictures from Sawyer's first year. 

This is Sawyer's personal cake, decorated by Aunt Carrie. 

The cupcakes we made were delicious! Carrie also decorated these. 

Sawyer enjoyed having his GiGi, Granddaddy, and Aunt Carrie at his party, but  missed his other family.  Especially, Tate and Aunt Lindsay who couldn't make the trip b/c Sawyer was contagious! :( 

Sawyer's girlfriend, Scarlett, came since she was also sick! 

Evan, Sara, and Cassie came to celebrate, and they always make Sawyer happy! 

Sawyer was so cute with his cake.  At first, he just starred at it...Thinking, Mom has never given me anything this big before. 

Once, I cut it for him and showed him that it was OK to eat it, he took small bites. 

Then he dug in! It was adorable! 

He was offering a bite to Scarlett...sweet boy! 

Sawyer also enjoyed opening his presents, after he ate some of the wrapping paper! 

He payed attention to each present for at least a few seconds! :)

The elephant toy from Aunt Nathalia and Uncle John was a hit! 

This is my favorite picture.  It reminds me that even though Sawyer has become such a big boy, he is still my baby!

Sawyer's first birthday party was a success, and he is now officially spoiled! But mainly, Sawyer is very loved!
