One Year

This time a year ago, I was struggling to get sweet Sawyer to eat, worrying about his weight gain and, his jaundice.  But, now, I worry if I can keep up with him.

At 1 year, Sawyer is a very active little boy. He...

- weighs 19 1/2 lb (8%) and is 30.5 inches long (65%) -long and lean-

- still prefers to crawl and is very FAST

- likes to use his walking toys and hold on to things with one hand

- is getting better at sleeping through the night (usually makes it till about 5)

- takes 2 naps - longer one in the morning

- eats anything - his favorites are mac n cheese, watermelon, grapes, noodles, eggs

- drinks whole milk and loves it

- likes to play with anything musical and loud

- likes to play hide from Dad and get chased

- LOVES the slide at the park

- likes to climb up and down, up and down the stairs

- Says "da" for dog and "ba" for ball

- wants someone to play with him, but can entertain himself

- gives sweet hugs and kisses, but then immediately wants to be put down so that he can plau

- is a very sweet, loving, energetic, excitable, smart, handsome young little boy.
