Road Trippin'

The first Leever (family of four) road trip took place this week. It was WAY better than we expected.  The first day we drove 8 hours and stopped in Lubbock at a hotel that JH used to stay at when he was a child. Sawyer and JH were in heaven!

 Long trips make you hungry!!

We watched the Spurs win the NBA Championship!

Then we headed to the mountains. 

Tyler-bear was a little fussy and we found out that he had a DOUBLE ear infection. Poor sweet baby. He is now also teething and trying to crawl, which means he is NOT sleeping! Oh well, he still looks adorable and got in extra snuggles!

We had a great trip. JH golfed and we went white water rafting. 

We also got to see Uncle Dale and Jezz.  

 Sawyer stayed in his pjs till after 10 a.m. every day and wore his santa hat b/c it was "cold."

 We drank hot cocoa in the morning with this view!

We built fires at night.

Sawyer went to an old fashioned barber shop.

 We climbed the roof! 

 And we even got in a date night in Santa Fe at Dale's restaurant. It was amazing and I am so proud of him!

The last day,we went to Angel Fire where JH mountain biked and Sawyer and I rode up and down the lift. I am a skier, but riding down the lift was scary! 

 It was such a fun day!

We got home yesterday and left Sawyer to explore the mountains.  He has already had a picnic at 10,000 feet, gone swimming at the indoor aquatic center, and gotten new hot wheel toys.  But, I am sure he misses us terribly!

Tyler did not have a great road trip home. He missed his Bubba and did not feel well! We SO enjoyed our vacation and first road trip. Great family memories!
