Family Day

A few weeks ago, Sawyer woke up on a Saturday and asked if he had to go to school and I told him that school was closed and he asked why (of course).  I explained that today was a day his teachers and friends stayed home with their family. Ever since this conversation, Sawyer has referred to weekend or non-school days as "family days." This totally warms my heart.

So, this  morning, the whole city of Houston/Sugar Land is shut down, so this means Sawyer's school is closed. I told him school was cancelled and he looked at me with such excitement and asked, "so now it is a family day?!?"

So, in honor of an extra  family day this week, here are pictures of my little family!
Tyler learned to play with his toys this week...first time grabbing them!
He also got his first cold virus, but it did not keep him from smiling.
If you have ever had to give  your child a breathing treatment with a nebulizer or suck his nose out, then you know they do not think it is pleasant.  Well, Tyler is clearly an exception to the rule. He literally smiles and laughs during both!
 LOVE. HIM.
Sawyer has been having good days at school following all the rules and behaving well, so this means he gets ice cream!
Sawyer's teacher told me had a good day in front of Sawyer.
So...
M: I am so glad you had a good day. Good job!
S: So, should we go to Maggie Moos?!?
Love these brothers and I am so thankful at what a good big brother Sawyer has become.

Despite him thinking everything that belongs to Tyler actually belongs to him!
Oh well, sweet Ty doesn't care....
 He just keeps on smiling!
