House Hunting

Let me start by saying house hunting is nothing like the show "House Hunters," which we obsessively watch.  We also recently found out that the house hunters on that show already have a house, so they aren't nearly as frustrated and stressed as real house hunters.

4 days and 30 houses later, we finally found a house that we are so happy about, in Sugar Land.  Yes, yes, we are moving to the real Houston burbs, but I also just go my dream job that allows me to work from home when needed, thus never having to deal with a real Houston commute!

Also, Sawyer has access to the most amazing aquatic center you have ever seen, and Hunter's new job is less than 10 miles away.  Let me back up, and explain we are moving from the mountains to humid Houston (read with a smile)!!! We are sad to leave our out door haven, but are so blessed to be surrounded (really) by family and dear friends!

During this hunt, Mimi and Papa Jim came to the Woodlands to help entertain Sawyer with Aunt Jodi and Uncle Jason.  Little did they know, cousin Quinn would do all the work! Seriously, he is a toddler whisperer!

Quinn even acted like Sawyer was cool when his older friends came around.
Sawyer and Jodi were mutually excited to finally meet each other!
Sawyer loved showing Papa Jim how strong he is and that the propeller is supposed to spin.

Sawyer also got some one on one time with Aunt Amy (my cousin), Donna, Alan, Andrew, David, and Great Grandma.  Besides starting the dishwasher, leaving the phone of the hook, and removing pots from the cabinets, I think they enjoyed his company! Seriously, we are so lucky to be closer to family that welcomes a baby!

Sawyer and I had to fly home alone Tuesday evening with a stop in Austin.  But, nothing beats special attention from the First Officer, who let Sawyer climb up and press all the whistles and bells. ( In case you are wondering why he was so generous, it is b/c he has a 19 month old that he clearly misses!)
I cannot tell you how beat this little family of three is after this house hunt.  But, we are looking forward to our new jobs, new home, and new life in Houston!
