Today is Sawyer's first golden birthday. He is sixteen months on the the 16th, his date of birth! His real golden birthday will be when he is 16, which I don't even want to think about. In the past few months, Sawyer has become very adventerous and keeps us more on our toes than we ever have been. Chasing after a toddler who enjoys using 18-wheelers as a step-stool is hard, but fun, work.
Sawyer is still a little tike, weighing in right at 21 lb (3-5%), but is almost 32 inches (50-75%).
- He is just starting to sleep through the night!!!!!
- He just switched to one long, middle of the day nap.
- He loves reading books and his textured flash cards from Aunt Lindsay. Seriously, if he is upset, just get him a book and he will happily sit with you.
- His other favorites are trucks, helicopters, balls, chairs, and anything that he can climb or ride.
- He eats almost anything, but not a lot at a time. So, we put him in the highchair about 5 times a day to encourage eating!
- Dancing is his go-to, and he hears the elevator music, when you think it's silent.
- He is wearing all 18-24 month clothes, with pants being a little big in the waste, and wears a 5.5 shoe.
- His FAVORITE thing to do is be outside, especially at the park. We go nearly everyday, even in cold weather, b/c it makes his day!
He is our little adventerous man!
He has quite a few words, and many many sounds. I have kept track of some of his words, including:
Banana (nana), please (pees), go, ball, Momma, Dadda, bye bye, hi, baby, dog, cool, thank you (tank), Hannah (nan). When he hears an airplane or helicopter, he stops what he is doing, and says "oh" and points to the sky. When he hears the garbage truck and we're at home, he runs to a window so that he can see it. Clearly, he is all boy! He follows directions very well, while also trying to push the limits. :) It is so neat to see him learn something new everyday.
We love our little Saw-man!
