I cannot believe we are one month away from having a one-year old little boy (not baby). He already doesn't seem like a baby. No one told me toddler-hood starts at 11 months!
At the doc's office last week, Sawyer weighed 18 1/2 lbs (he lost some weight from being sick) and was 30 inches long. You can see his long arms and legs below.
Sawyer is a very active little boy. He
- wears 12-18 month clothes
- wears size 3 diapers
- does NOT sleep through the night (don't worry...I am used to it.)
- takes 2 naps a day (an hour-2 each)
- has 6 teeth (4 up top and 2 on bottom)
- eats anything that he can pick up - all finger foods
- drinks 3-4 bottles a day and breastfeeds in the am and pm
- is learning how to drink out of his sippy cup
- says real words, such as mama, dada and da (dog) and still babbles CONSTANTLY
- pulls himself up on everything
- cruises along tables and couches
- crawls very fast everywhere
- loves to un-roll toilet paper (keep the bathroom doors closed)
- has a fake laugh he uses when he wants you to really make him laugh
- waves bye-bye (not consistently)
- is full of personality (see below pic) and has a real belly laugh
- thinks his dad is hilarious (dad is making him smile)
- loves all toys, especially musical ones and ones that fit in his mouth (trucks, singing animals, his tunnel, balls)
- dances to anything resembling music- really NON-STOP
- gives big open-mouth kisses when you ask for them (here he is kissing his little girlfriend Scarlett)
- lays his head on you when he wants a hug - precious
- pulls hair for comfort
- loves to swing
- enjoys being read to and played with
- still does not know a stranger -likes everyone
- welcomes people he knows with big smiles
- wants his "mama" when he is fussy
- makes his mom and dad very happy everyday. Seriously, we are so blessed to have such a sweet boy who is full of energy and excitement for life
WOW - he is getting so big... and adorable. Cannot believe he is almost 1. Time is flying by. XOXO!
